Home >> Information Management

Information Management is characterized by the phrase “getting the right information to the right person at the right place and the right time.” Information Management is the process of gathering required information, processing the gathered information to identify relevance and accuracy, and then presenting that information in a logical and ordered manner. Information Management is a series of complex, interrelated functions as identified in the diagram below which was prepared by CIO magazine.
Ultimately the classic definition involves assisting the corporate leadership in making good decisions and in operating the organization. However, this has been expanded dramatically to include access, security, and privacy concerns. All external and internal pressures have expanded the realm of Information Management.
